The Tree Metaphor:
Some people that you will meet in life will be nothing more than leaves on the branches of your tree. These people are flimsy and do not amount to anything detrimental to your life and fall away all the time. The type of people that make up the branches could be friends of yours but, they really have no power of their own; once you lean upon them, they break and fall away. The friends that make up your trunk are the people that will make you strong to a point but, without you knowing it, they might just leave you and allow you to fall just like the leaves, and branches before them. The final part of the tree are the roots that hold it into the ground; the people that make up your roots are the people you should be focused on finding. These are the family, loved-ones, and the friends you consider to be your family, they all keep you firmly in the ground. These are the people that have changed your life for the better because they know you for who you are and know what you are all about. These are the people that build you up, instead of breaking you down in anyway. The truly great will make others feel that they can become great as well. The people that do not care about you should not be considered to be apart of your tree, these are the people that will cause you to decay on many different levels. Never forget that trees go through many changes, they lose leaves, branches and fall over; yet they never stop growing, they are eternally strong. Never feel bad when people walk out of your life, their part in your story is just simply over and that allows others to walk in. Never stop learning and growing as an individual; trees reach for the sky and your ambitions should do the very same.
